Originally planned for 2020, the FORTE CULTURA study tour with Dr. Hans-Rudolf Neumann could only be carried out now due to the pandemic. The study tour led from Yerevan to Amberd, Dashtadem, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Lori, Haghpat, Dilijan, Sevan, Bjni, Yeghegis, Tatev, and back via Smbataberd. Armenia’s fortress heritage is rooted in the Christian struggle to defend the faith against surrounding religions and includes fortified monasteries that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
