El Queich es un peque\u00f1o r\u00edo que nace en el bosque del Palatinado y desemboca en el Rin cerca de Germersheim. En el siglo XVIII, las l\u00edneas del Queich se construyeron como fortificaciones de campa\u00f1a durante la Guerra de Sucesi\u00f3n Austriaca. Se extend\u00edan a lo largo de 30 kil\u00f3metros desde Annweiler, pasando por Landau, hasta el Rin en Germersheim.
