La fortaleza estatal b\u00e1vara de Ingolstadt se ampli\u00f3 a lo largo de cinco per\u00edodos hist\u00f3ricos hasta convertirse en el gran sistema fortificado que vemos hoy en d\u00eda. A ambos lados del Danubio hay fortificaciones parcialmente muy bien conservadas que abarcan cinco siglos y representan la fortaleza renacentista, la ampliaci\u00f3n posterior a la Guerra de los Treinta A\u00f1os, la fortaleza neocl\u00e1sica (reconstrucci\u00f3n tras la demolici\u00f3n por Napole\u00f3n), as\u00ed como un cintur\u00f3n de fortificaciones exteriores y un cintur\u00f3n de fuertes exteriores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Con su adhesi\u00f3n, Ingolstadt aspira, entre otros objetivos, a una mayor visibilidad internacional en el \u00e1mbito del turismo cultural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adem\u00e1s, se desarrollar\u00e1n o ampliar\u00e1n las colaboraciones entre fortalezas dentro de Baviera, en la regi\u00f3n fronteriza entre Alemania y Austria y a lo largo del Danubio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
