The European Fortress Summer 2018 came to a close with the Cologne Fortress Days at the end of September. 18 fortress monuments from 9 countries have taken part in the European Fortress Summer 2018 with their events since the kick-off in April. Events have been organised in fascinating Europe- an fortresses such as Jaca (ES), Brno (CZ), Fredrik- stad (NO), Königstein, Ulm and Mainz (DE) or Be- sançon and Neuf Brisach (FR), Daugavpils (LV), Eger (HU), Karlovac (HR), Kostrzyn nad  Odra and Gizycko (PL), Coburg, Cologne, Germersheim and Torgau (DE). The European Fortress Summer proclaims its message of eventful and fascinating cultural heritage fortress monuments. The European Fortress Tourism and Fortress Marketing Network has now published a brochure containing a fasci- nating review of the joint campaign in the European Year of Cultural Heritage. All fortresses are cordial- ly invited to take part in the European Fortress Sum- mer 2019.
