On 1 June 2017, Bert Flöck, Head of the Building Department of the City of Koblenz, officially declared his membership of the network and signed the declaration of accession. The city is represented in the network by its own green space and funeral services organisation. In addition to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress (GDKE), the city‘s other fortress monuments will now also be integrated into the FORTE CULTURA cultural route and fortress marketing under the uniform brand „Großfestung Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein“. The joint development of travel recommendations for the cultural route has already begun. The focus is on cultural and active tourism offers.
