Under the title “Reintegration, renovation and upgrading of the tourist functions of Dömitz Fortress”, students from Warsaw University of Technology visited Dömitz Fortress at the beginning of the winter semester. All areas of the fortress and former ideal fortress town were analysed in a four-day survey in order to develop concepts and proposed solutions over the winter. A lack of funding for renovation work in Dömitz recently led to the closure of parts of the fortress. The study project was initiated by FORTE CULTURA and is led by Marcin Gorski (Warsaw University of Technology and member of the FORTE CULTURA Scientific Advisory Board).
