Königstein Fortress is one of the most outstanding fortress monuments in Europe. For an even broader market presence and to intensify co-operation with European fortress monuments, especially on the Elbe, Königstein Fortress is joining the European Fortress Tourism and Fortress Marketing Network e.V. and thus becoming part of the European Fortress Monuments Cultural Route „FORTE CULTURA“.

Königstein Fortress will play a leading role in the creation of a regional FORTE CULTURA sub-brand „Elbe Fortresses“, which includes well-known fortresses such as Dömitz, Terezin and Josefov.
