The association „Friends of the Maginot Line in Alsace“ is one of the active organisations that preserve and maintain the fortress heritage of the 20th century. Today, they play an important role in reappraising history, educating and informing people about the effects of war and destruction. The association operates Fort Schoenenbourg and the Etsch redoubt, which are part of the fortifications of the Maginot Line. By joining the network, it will be able to ex- tend its reach via the FORTE CULTURA cultural route and network with other sites on the culture of remembrance of the 20th century.
