On Open Monument Day 2020, there were once again many exciting monuments to discover. Due to the COVID-19 situation, numerous sites innovatively invited visitors to take part virtually. Our member fortresses, such as the Federal Fortress of Ulm and the Citadel of Mainz, took this opportunity to draw attention to themselves and to their valuable work in preserving the cultural heritage of fortress monuments in their cities.
