Under the leadership of Koblenz’s Head of Cultural Affairs Dr Margit Theis-Scholz, the workshop brought together around 20 interdepartmental stakeholders to discuss the future of Koblenz Fortress in connection with the European cultural route FORTE CULTURA®. The result is the formation of a working group con- sisting of the departments of culture, tourism, marketing, business development, facility management, monument preservation and green space manage- ment as well as the GDKE and the stakeholders in the large fortress (e.g. historians, support associa- tions, city archives, etc.). Together, the potential of the Koblenz fortress is to be developed and utilised in the medium term.
