W dniach 9 i 10 kwietnia 2014 r. w Josefovie odbyła się trzecia Europejska Konferencja Umocnionych Miast Idealnych w ramach projektu FORTE CULTURA. W konferencji wzięło udział 31 ekspertów i przedstawicieli z dziesięciu krajów europejskich: Czech, Chorwacji, Danii, Francji, Niemiec, Łotwy, Polski, Rumunii, Holandii i Ukrainy.

Experts and politicians were going to discuss common and typical problems for this type of Fortified Ideal Cities, like protection and utilisation. Solutions for modernisation and better living conditions in those historic cities have been discussed also. Common interest was the development of tourism as economic factor. Therefore it was pleasant to welcome on the conference five Mayors and Vice-Mayors from different fortress towns.

The conference has finished with signing of Declaration of Fortified Ideal Cities in Europe by representatives of particular cities. It will confirm more intensive future co-operation. A conference documentation will be elaborated. Contact: info@pevnostjosefov.cz
